Some children may find it to be a bit repetitive after a couple of days, but the waterslides were surprisingly fun for an indoor park, if a little short. That was fine for us our child is not much of a daredevil so she was happy with what was available. The waterpark was nice, although maybe a touch on the small side. That's really nice for a family with several kids who might otherwise need two rooms. Add in the king bed in the main part of the room, there were four beds overall. Where the hotel sets itself apart is in the design of the room: ours had a built in "treehouse" that contained a bunk bed and an extra bed. The hotel itself is OK probably on par with a slightly dated DoubleTree or something of that level. Pros: This is a good business model for families. Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky has everything guests could want in a fun, family adventure. In the meantime, adults can ease into Manitoba Tubs for a warm water relaxation. It features several attractions, including Otter Run, a quick, fun slide, Alberta Falls, a tandem tubing within a tube experience, Fort Mackenzie, a water for tree house, Racoon Lagoon, and others. The water park is ideal for all ages, especially young ones as they swim and splash their way through the day. And for a more boutique dessert experience, guests can walk into Bear Paw Sweets and Eats for an artisanal cupcake or other sweet treat. There’s even a Dunkin Donuts on site for a quick coffee and snack. Guests can also enjoy food and wine pairings with the Great Wolf’s Wine Down Service at the end of the day. Hungry as a Wolf provides pizza, pasta, and salads for a quick, but satisfying bite. The Gitchigoomie Grill provides a buffet with a wide variety of scrumptious choices. The dining options also offer a local flavor. The woods interwoven throughout the architecture help connect the rooms with the woodland landscape of the Midwest. After a day of fun and play, the warm, welcoming fireplace sits ready to help the evening’s relaxation take over.
